UIP is planning to redevelop three parcels in Brookland DC into 337 apartments with ground floor retail. The project, Brookland Lanes, is just minutes from Metro and will surround a former historic duckpin bowling alley which was operational during the 1940’s. Serving as the centerpiece of the redevelopment, the former bowling alley will operate as the main project entry and amenity experience. The three parcels currently operate as retail, with leases set to expire at the end of 2023. The project was approved by the DC Historic Preservation Board in March of 2023 and construction on the site will begin in 2024.
