1421-1423 Chapin Street is a 3-story condominium building located in the Columbia Heights submarket. UIP completed a $2.5 million renovation to transform the dilapidated, 8-unit, existing building into two buildings with 14 modern condominiums. The scope of the renovation included the front façade, which was restored, and the addition of a landscaped courtyard that connects the twin buildings. The condos include granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, built-in sound systems and contemporary gas fireplaces. The condos sold for an average price of $440,000 with sales prices ranging from $329,000 to $629,000.
