Judith Swedek leads the oversight and strategy of UIP’s human resources initiatives. With a unique background in finance, marketing, and talent, Judith brings a strong business perspective to managing the employee lifecycle, from employer branding through to talent acquisitions, engagement, development, and planning, closely aligned with the needs and goals of the organization.
Prior to joining UIP, Judith directed talent management and development strategies for a variety of organizations including Gate Gourmet, Federal Realty, Freddie Mac, and Merrill Lynch. She specializes in organizational effectiveness, leadership development, career pathing, and talent planning, rolling out a number of highly successful initiatives throughout the years including culture and values, leadership learning journeys, high potential programs, talent reviews and succession planning, and performance management. For many years, she was an organizational effectiveness consultant providing executive coaching, business consulting, and learning and development to small and mid-sized organizations.
Judith started her career in finance and marketing in the financial services sector and spent a number of years on Wall Street. She credits this experience as allowing her to be strategic and results-oriented in working with leaders and teams within the organization to achieve organizational results.
Judith was part of the team that was awarded the Innovation Team Award, HR Leadership Awards of Greater Washington, in 2015 and is an active member of SHRM and ATD, among other organizations. She holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Illinois Institute of Technology.
